| About Our Store |
Bronson’s Garage Sale sells second-hand furniture and household goods through our online store. Most products are pre-owned, one-of-a-kind items and may show signs of wear, age, use, marks, scratches, fading or other cosmetic imperfections consistent with second-hand goods. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Policies. |
| Product Condition |
All items are sold in used condition unless otherwise stated. Customers should expect that second-hand items may include scratches, marks, fading, minor wear and tear, cosmetic imperfections or other signs of previous use. We aim to provide accurate photos and descriptions so customers can understand the condition of each item before purchase. |
| Consumer Guarantees |
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. This means products must match their description, be reasonably functional for their intended purpose, and be of acceptable quality taking into account the item’s age, price and disclosed condition. Where a product has a major fault or is not as described, customers may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. |
| Warranties |
Bronson’s Garage Sale does not offer warranties on second-hand items unless expressly stated otherwise on the product listing. This does not exclude any rights customers may have under Australian Consumer Law. |
| Refunds & Returns |
We do not offer change-of-mind refunds or returns. This includes situations where: • the item does not fit your home; Customers remain entitled to remedies under Australian Consumer Law where an item has a major fault or is not as described. |
| Fault Disclosure |
Where an item has known faults, visible damage or condition issues, we aim to disclose those through product photos, written descriptions or condition notes. Customers cannot claim a remedy for faults that were clearly disclosed before purchase or are visible in the product photos and consistent with the nature of second-hand goods. |
| Delivery Policy |
Delivery fees apply where stated at checkout. We aim to deliver orders as quickly as possible, however delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise. Customers must ensure safe and clear access to the delivery location, adequate space for the item, and that someone is available to receive the order unless otherwise agreed. If delivery cannot be completed because of customer absence, unsafe access, restricted access, stairs, tight spaces, incorrect address details or other delivery obstacles not disclosed beforehand, Bronson’s Garage Sale may reschedule delivery and additional delivery fees may apply. |
| Delivery Responsibility |
Risk in the item passes to the customer once the item has been delivered to the nominated address and accepted, or otherwise left in accordance with delivery instructions provided by the customer. Bronson’s Garage Sale is not responsible for damage occurring after delivery, including damage caused by moving, misuse, incorrect assembly, weather exposure, pets, children or general household use. |
| One-of-a-Kind Items |
Most products listed on our website are one-of-a-kind second-hand pieces and are usually available in a quantity of one only. Adding an item to cart does not reserve it. An item is only secured once checkout has been completed successfully and payment has been received. In rare cases, an item may become unavailable due to inventory errors, damage, duplicate sale, or availability changes across sales channels. If this happens after purchase, we will contact the customer and offer either a full refund or the option to choose another available item. |
| Item Availability |
We reserve the right to remove, edit or correct product listings at any time where an item is unavailable, incorrectly priced, incorrectly described or no longer suitable for sale. Because our products are second-hand and unique, exact replacements are generally not available. |
| Used Item Expectations |
Customers acknowledge that acceptable quality for second-hand goods is assessed differently to brand-new goods. Minor cosmetic wear, age-related imperfections and general signs of use do not make an item faulty where they are consistent with the item’s age, price and condition. |
| Dispute Resolution |
Bronson’s Garage Sale may, but is not obliged to, offer internal complaint handling, dispute resolution, mediation or similar processes to help resolve customer concerns. This may include communicating directly with customers to clarify issues, reviewing relevant information relating to the order, and where appropriate attempting to resolve concerns in a fair and reasonable manner. Nothing in this section limits or affects any rights or remedies a customer may have under Australian Consumer Law. |
| Limitation of Liability |
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bronson’s Garage Sale is not liable for normal wear expected from second-hand goods, cosmetic imperfections that were visible or disclosed before purchase, or damage caused after delivery. Nothing in these Terms & Policies excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. |
